Please read carefully through the Cenovus Energy Block Party Trailer information to ensure success for your upcoming Block Party. Use of Community Barbeque Use of the community barbeque is free provided the Cenovus Energy Block Party Trailer is returned properly cleaned and cared for as outlined in the "Cenovus Energy Block Party Trailer Instructions". The user agrees that in the event the trailer is not returned cleaned or is received by the next user in poor condition they will be billed for any cost incurred for its clean up. Food prepared using the community barbeque must be provided free of charge. Applicants using the trailer for charitable purposes and fundraising through the sale of food are responsible for contacting the appropriate health authorities. Propane for the BBQ The Block Party trailer is a community asset and is loaned out using the honor system. Propane tanks should be full upon pick up and it is asked that they be topped up by the user upon return. Propane will be purchased at the user’s expense. Should the tanks not come full, please promptly inform the City of Lloydminster fcss@lloydminster.ca Pick Up and Return Keys for the Cenovus Energy Block Party Trailer are provided by the City Staff upon successful completion of all required paperwork. Arrangements for their pickup and return will be coordinated no more than two days in advance of the booking. The Applicant is responsible for securing sufficient space to park the trailer at the arranged drop off time. Deposit/Damages/Billing The City of Lloydminster does not requires a deposit for the Cenovus Energy Block Party Trailer however it is the applicant’s responsibility to meet the following conditions:
Should these conditions not be met, the applicant will be billed for any incurred cost to cover damages, clean up and/ or the safe return of the Cenovus Energy Block Party Trailer.
The City of Lloydminster carries insurance for residential Block Party organizers during their event. This insurance does not provide coverage to events that serve alcohol or cannabis and those that include high-risk activities such as swimming and bounce houses.
The only exception to this is if the Block Party is organized by a business including incorporated organizations. In these cases, the business or organization should have their own policy for coverage of these events.
